Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles may very well be a thing, but the former also has respect and admiration for the ex-One Direction bandmate on a professional end.

On Monday (February 15), Wilde took to Instagram to show Styles some love for his work on their new movie, Don’t Worry Darling. "Little known fact: most male actors don’t want to play supporting roles in female-led films," Wilde captioned a black and white shot of the star. "The industry has raised them to believe it lessens their power (i.e financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it’s so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories."

"No joke, it is harrrrrd to find actors who recognize why it might be worth it to allow for a woman to hold the spotlight," Wilde continued, before mentioning Styles as the exception to the system.

"Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our 'Alice', but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity," she wrote. "He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards."

Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf in the film after he left in September. While it was reportedly due to "scheduling conflicts," follow-up whispers indicated that Wilde fired LaBeouf for his behavior on-set of the project. On the personal end, Wilde and Styles were romantically linked to each other in early January when shots of the two holding hands at a friend's wedding were published. The former ended her eight-year engagement to Jason Sudeikis in November. The former couple share two children: son, Otis Alexander, 6, and daughter, Daisy Josephine, 4.
