The Pittsburgh area is expected to see more snow this week.

WPXI meteorologist Danielle Dozier reports a winter storm watch has been issued for Western Pennsylvania, with more wintry weather on the way.

"A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette Counties beginning 12 a.m.," Dozier tweeted on Tuesday (February 16.) "Another round of wintry weather is on the way. #PAwx."

The area is expected to see more snow showers on Tuesday afternoon with wind gusts in areas of blowing snow, which could lead to reduced visibility. Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s Tuesday afternoon and wind gusts could reach 30 MPH, which may make it feel like the teens at different points during the day.

Icy spots are also expected as new snow and areas of freezing drizzle could re-refreeze in the Pittsburgh area on Tuesday night, WPXI reports.

Wednesday is expected to see less severe weather before the next round of wintry weather hits Western Pennsylvania on Thursday.

Dozier reports a "snow and wintry mix" is possible for Thursday, but updated information will be released once "model data runs over the next few days."
