How To Help Texans In Need After Winter Storms, Power Outages

Texas is slowly get back on its feet after winter storms knocked out power and water to much of the state. However, there are many Texans who are still in need of the basics, including shelter and food.

Here are some ways to help those impacted by the recent winter storm.

If you live in Texas:

  • Help feed a hospital: The Texas Restaurant Association has a growing list of hospitals around the state that need help feeding patients and staffers. A full list of locations and how to help can be found here.
  • NoirBnB, a Black-owned travel company, is looking for people in Dallas and Houston who can offer others shelter or transportation. Email Concierge@noirbnb.com or message them on Twitter if you can help.
  • Crowdsource Rescue: The website has an interactive map with people asking for assistance. They range from requests for food/supplies to debris removal and wellness checks.


If you live outside of Texas:
