More and more counties in Utah are easing restrictions since their level of transmission has dropped to 'moderate,' reported 2KUTV.

The changes that come with the eased restrictions include allowing side-by-side seating at organized events like sporting events, weddings, and performing arts venues. Concessions are no longer served.

At these events, guests must be wearing facial coverings and follow the other guidelines that are in place.

The following counties are now in a 'moderate' transmission level:

  • Box Elder
  • Carbon
  • Duchesne
  • Millard
  • Morgan
  • San Juan
  • Uintah
  • Weber

Some organizations are still holding off on allowing too many people in, however.

Megaplex Theaters released a statement that mentions that social distancing and concessions will continue.

Weber State University plans to continue with the existing capacity restrictions through March 15th.

The Ziegfield Theater in Ogden also plans to continue blocking off every other row for now just to be safe. Morgan Perry, the theater's executive producer, stated, "To take away a revenue stream to hopefully, potentially get more butts in seats is kind of a difficult thing for us to make that call right now." According to Perry, once the theater starts selling out again, it may make more seating options available.
