5,000+ Fentanyl Pills Found Inside Baby Toy Bought From AZ Thrift Store

The Phoenix Police Department received a call from a family that says they discovered a baggie of dangerous pills inside of a toy they purchased from a local thrift store, reported ABC 15.
The parents purchased a 'Glo Worm' toy from a thrift store in El Mirage for their daughter, but they were shocked to find what was inside.
They discovered a sandwich bag full of what they believed to be over 5,000 fentanyl pills.
The dangerous drugs were picked up by the police.
The Phoenix Police tweeted, "Parents purchased a glow worm at a thrift store in El Mirage for their daughter and found a sandwich bag with over 5,000 pills believed to be fentanyl inside. They called #PhoenixPolice and gave the dangerous drugs to officers. Remember to inspect all opened and used items."

Police are using this incident as an opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of inspecting any items that are bought second hand.
It is currently unknown how the Glo Worm toy ended up at the thrift store.
