It took a bomb squad to uncover a “suspicious package” full of kittens.
The duffel bag carrying a cat and her six newborn kittens was left at a church in New Miami, located in Butler County, Ohio. The local sheriff’s office bomb squad responded to the call, but when authorities kept an ear out for ticking sounds, they heard purring instead, the Associated Press reported Friday (February 19).
X-Ray equipment showed the bomb squad that the duffel bag carried kittens. There was also a note explaining that the mother cat, Sprinkles, gave birth around 2 p.m. on February 17.
Butler County authorities made sure the kittens were cared for at the local shelter.
