The people behind the Austin City Limits Festival are hoping to return to Zilker Park in October.
ACL Fest updated its website with the message "We can't wait to see you Oct. 1-3 & 8-10, 2021 back in Zilker Park."
The festival's line up and ticket information haven't been released yet, but there's at least the hope that there will be an in-person event.
Last year's ACL Fest happened virtually because of the ongoing pandemic. It replayed some of its more memorable sets from years past, but also included new performances from Austin bands and artists.
Austin's other marquee festival - South By Southwest - will be held virtually this year from March 16-20.
"Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, we expect that the City of Austin will continue its restrictions on large gatherings through March 2021, so it will not be possible for SXSW to stage a large, in-person event within our usual footprint," SXSW organizers announced earlier this year.
Featured speakers include U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Willie Nelson, Ava DuVernay, and Chance the Rapper, among others.
