Several people in South Carolina are celebrating after they won big with lottery tickets over the weekend. In an unlikely twist, they were all from the same town. Two people in Summerville, about a 30 minute drive northwest of Charleston, checked the lottery tickets they purchased last weekend, and to their surprise, each scored a six-figure winning.

According to ABC News 4, the first winner purchased a $10 Go Green scratch-off ticket at the Trolley Road Circle K. When she scratched off her ticket, she found that she had won a whopping $300,000. Though she was eager to pick up her winnings in Columbia, she wasn't able to claim them until Monday (March 1).

"I had it spent before I got it," she said. "It was my lucky day."

Because the Circle K sold the winning ticket, it will receive a $3,000 commission, according to ABC News 4.

A Summerville couple were the winners of the second ticket, the news outlet reports. They had made a trip to their local Food Lion to pick up some items on their grocery list, but when they purchased a Powerball ticket at the store, they got more than they expected. It wasn't until later, around 4 a.m., that the husband checked the ticket and saw they had won $100,000. He eagerly woke up his wife to share the good news.

"It's surreal," she said. "We bought one ticket and won."
