You better check your lottery tickets! A ticket that was sold in Louisville has won the game's second prize of $1 million, reported WDRB.
The ticket matched all five white ball winning numbers in the drawing that took place on Friday night. The numbers were: 10-11-17-27-54 with a Mega Ball of 20.
According to the Kentucky Lottery, if the ticket had matched the Mega Ball, the lucky lotto player would have won $55 million.
The location in which the lottery ticket was bought hasn't yet been announced. A news release stated that staff with the Kentucky Lottery had to conduct a security check at the retailer on Monday before the whereabouts can be made public.
The winner has 180 days to claim their prize, which has to be done at the lottery's headquarters in Louisville. The person will need to contact the lottery's claims office at 1-800-937-8946 to set up an appointment to receive their prize.
Lottery officials are advising the winner to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure place until the appointment.
The Kentucky Lottery President and CEO Mary Harville said in a news release, "We're looking forward to greeting Kentucky's newest millionaire."
