The "Naked Cowboy," popular for his street performances in New York City, found himself behind bars over the weekend in Florida, according to WKMG.

Reporters said 50-year-old Robert Burck was arrested Saturday (March 6) during the annual Bike Week festival in Daytona Beach. He faces charges of resisting an officer without violence and aggressive panhandling.

According to an arrest report, Burck was taking photos with people near Main Street and Fern Lane as they put money in his guitar. Daytona Beach police claim his actions violated a city ordinance on panhandling. Officers noted that the "Cowboy" wore "underwear, a multi-color straw-hat during this incident which caused crowds to form a circle around him, while panhandling."

A video posted to YouTube captured the arrest:

Burck allegedly refused to follow an officer's order, pulling away from the official as they "redirected" him to a marked patrol vehicle, the report said. The "Cowboy's" guitar, which was filled with money, reportedly broke in the process. Officers said Burck’s girlfriend took possession of the guitar at his request.

A video posted to Facebook shows Burck playing a guitar wearing nothing but white underwear and cowboy boots. The caption read, "Naked in Daytona!"

According to the Naked Cowboy Facebook page, Burke is "an American street performer whose pitch is on New York City's Times Square. He wears only cowboy boots, a hat, and white briefs, with a guitar strategically placed to give the illusion of nudity."

Reporters said Burck is a regular at Bike Week, where hundreds of thousands of bikers are expected through March 14. He was released from custody Sunday morning (March 7).
