The stars of the reality TV show Diesel Brothers on the Discovery Channel that takes place in Utah have been ordered to pay almost $1 million in legal fees for pollution law violations, reported Fox 13 Now.

The $1 million fees are on top of $848,000 in previous penalties.

U.S. District Judge Robert Shelby of Salt Lake City ruled back in January that David Sparks, also known as "Heavy D," and Joshua Stuart, known as "Redbeard," must pay a total of $928,602 in legal fees and costs to Utah Physicians for Healthy Environment.

Shelby said that the case featured an "overwhelming" number of violations, which "weighs in favor of the reasonableness."

The brothers' attorney commented on the violation fees and costs.

Attorney Cole Cannon criticized the "Egregious and frivolous" fee request by the legal ream representing the doctors' group.

Cannon also said there were some "silly billings" such as "30 hours for social media analysis."

The Diesel Brothers are hoping to owe nothing if they win their current appeal at the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver.

Cannon said, "We've got a really decent shot of setting the record straight."

The Diesel Brothers show is in its seventh season on Discovery Channel.
