When a 2-year-old California boy left his beloved Buzz Lightyear toy on a plane in Dallas, a Southwest employee went out of his way to unite the two buddies but not before taking Buzz on a quick adventure.

It was a hectic day when little Hagen Davis lost Buzz last month. A family member just passed, and the Davis family had to go to Dallas for the funeral.

Hagen didn't realize he left his friend on the plane at Dallas Love Field until it was too late. The Davis family was driving off in a rental car while the Southwest plane was headed towards Little Rock, Arkansas.

"My son was devastated, he loved his Buzz so much and even had his name written on the bottom of his boot just like the Buzz from the movie has Andy on his. I looked into how to claim lost items with SWA. The cost alone to submit a claim exceeded the cost of Buzz and chalked it up as a loss," mom Ashley Davis wrote on Facebook.

The family was over joyed a few weeks later when they received an email from Jason, Southwest employee in Arkansas, who said he found Buzz and wanted to return it. Buzz was sent home in a customized box that included photos of the toy in front of Southwest planes and a letter detailing the journey.

"To Commander Hagen: I am very excited to return to you upon completing my mission," the letter reads.

They family absolutely loved how much effort was put into making a 2-year-old smile.

“There’s definitely not enough good in this world, and for someone to take the time out of their day to do that for strangers means the world to us," Ashley Davis said.
