A Sacramento family is accusing an Amazon delivery driver of stealing items from a shrine set up to honor a baby in their front yard.

According to CBS13, surveillance video shows what looks like an Amazon delivery. A driver stops near Calvine Road and Highway 99 and looks as though they are going to deliver a package. However, the driver walks away from the truck empty-handed.

The driver can then be seen walking to the family's front door, kneeling down to the baby shrine, and running back to the truck with balloons and other gifts.

"How do you even explain that?" one neighbor told CBS13. "What were you doing - taking the balloons to your girlfriend? It doesn't get any lower than that."

But the incident didn't end there.

More video footage shows the same Amazon driver returning to the house minutes later to grab more items from the shrine.

"It's unacceptable - it's unethical. It's downright heartbreaking," another neighbor Adrina Thomas told CBS13.

The driver is yet to be caught although the family has now filed a police report.

Since the incident, the community has been on high alert.

"As neighbors, we need to look out for each other," said Thomas.

The family told CBS13 they did receive a $50 credit from Amazon and the company told CBS13 they were looking into the incident.
