Dr. Mehmet Oz is up next to guest host Jeopardy!

On Monday (March 22), The Dr. Oz Show host, 60, will begin his guest hosting stint on the long-running game show to replace Katie Couric, who has been at the podium for the last two week. He’ll follows in the footsteps of 74-time show champ Ken Jennings and executive producer Mike Richards to replace the late, great Alex Trebek, who passed away in November due to pancreatic cancer. "Dr. Oz is someone who was very close to Alex," Richards previously told USA TODAY. "[The hosts are] people just kind of in the orbit that I knew feel very strongly about stepping in, not to try out for the role but to honor Alex."

Over on his Instagram account, Dr. Oz hyped up the stint, captioning a photo of him on-set of the show. "Tonight (and for the next two weeks), I have the great honor and privilege of guest hosting @Jeopardy!" he wrote, adding, "Make sure to tune in."

After Oz wraps up his stint, he’ll be followed by Green Bay Packers quarterback and 2015 Celebrity Jeopardy! champion Aaron Rodgers, who will fill the shoes as interim host on April 5. According to reports, Jeopardy! will take its time to figure out who will step in Trebek's shoes permanently and may not find a replacement until the show begins its 38th season in syndication in September.
