Sammy Hagar & the Circle are getting back on the road this spring, with a handful of shows in the Sunshine State in May and June.

The former Van Halen frontman and his band including longtime VH bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Vic Johnson and drummer Jason Bonham will hit the road on May 23 in Key West and head north to Orlando and they play the final pair of shows in St. Augustine.

While Hagar once expressed his misgivings about performing any socially-distanced concerts, each of the venues will enforce COVID-19 safety policies, including limited capacity, distanced seating, digital ticketing and mobile concession ordering.

In a statement, Hagar said he is "Excited to bring back live music while keeping fans' safety in mind. Find more info about COVID protocol & safety measures by visiting each venue's website."

Tickets for all five shows go on sale Friday, April 9. For tickets and more information, go here.

Hagar & the Circle recently released an album of cover songs, Lockdown 2020, in which every track was recorded on iPhone. Proceeds from the band's cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" are being donated to benefit food banks around the country.
