These Nine Coloradans Made The Forbes 2021 Billionaires List

The annual Forbes billionaire list was released on Tuesday, April 6, and several Coloradans made the cut as some of the richest people in the world.
According to the business magazine, their 35th annual list saw numbers they've never seen before.
"The number of billionaires on Forbes’ 35th annual list of the world’s wealthiest exploded to an unprecedented 2,755--660 more than a year ago. Of those, a record high 493 were new to the list--roughly one every 17 hours, including 210 from China and Hong Kong. Another 250 who’d fallen off in the past came roaring back. A staggering 86% are richer than a year ago."
Among household names like Jeff Bezos, who is the world's richest person for the fourth year in a row, Elon Musk, and Kim Kardashian, there were nine Coloradans who were featured on the prestigious list.
The list names businessman Philip Anschutz as Colorado's richest person with a net worth of $10.1 billion.
Following Anschutz were:
- Co-founder and chairman of Dish Network and EchoStar, Charles Ergen worth $9.6 billion
- Former CEO of Tele-Communications, John Malone worth $7.8 billion
- Silicon Valley venture capitalist, Mark Stevens worth $3.7 billion
- Stryker Corp. and founder of the Bohemian Foundation, Pat Stryker worth $3 billion
- Leprino Foods chairman, James Leprino worth $3 billion
- TTEC, Kenneth Tuchman worth $2.8 billion
- Founder of Janus Capital Group, Thomas Bailey worth $1.2 billion
