Parents in an east Denver neighborhood are keeping a close eye on their children and urging other parents to do the same after there were two reports of alleged child enticement incidents near elementary schools.

Carson Elementary School sent home a warning to parents about the incidents which both occurred on Monday night (April 12), according to FOX31.

Both incidents occurred in the Hilltop Neighborhood, one on Albion Street and the other on Fairfax. One incident involved a white van and the other involved a white SUV.

The children involved were not harmed and immediately told family members what had happened to them.

According to the school's letter to parents, Denver police and Denver Public Schools' Department of Safety have both been notified of the incidents.

While there is little information on both incidents, Denver police told FOX31 they take any alleged incidents of child enticement very seriously.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to remind our families and students that safety is a top priority in Denver Public Schools and at Carson," read the letter. "As a community, we must work together to ensure the safety of our students at all hours of the day."
