It's been a big year for snow in Denver. This extra snowy winter has already given Denver a new record and it's working on another.
The city just recorded another 2.6 inches of snow, which makes this winter the snowiest in 37 years, reports FOX31.
Denver has already recorded 80.2 inches while the city typically averages around 56.5 inches of snow each winter.
The only other winters that saw more snowfall were in the '80s.
According to FOX31, it snowed 80.9 inches during the winter of 1983-1984 and 81.6 inches in the winter of 1982-1983.
But the snow isn't done yet. The final spring snow in Denver is usually around April 28.
Most of the snow this winter came from the March blizzard that turned out to be one of the largest on record in Denver. Over the weekend of March 13 and 14, Denver picked up more than 27 inches of snow.
