$10 Million Worth Of Drugs Seized From Turlock Man

A Turlock man was arrested during an investigation into a Merced County drug trafficking operation, reports CBS13.

Over $10 million worth of drugs including meth, cocaine, and heroin were located at the man's Huntington Beach residence, according to the California Department of Justice (DOJ).

The man is Luis Armando Romer Jr. and he is currently facing a one-count indictment for distributing meth based on an alleged sale in Merced County, said the DOJ.

Authorities discovered the drugs while searching Romero Jr.'s home on April 6, reports CBS13.

There they discovered around 280 pounds of meth, 25 kilograms of cocaine, 20 pounds of fentanyl pills, three kilograms of fentanyl power, two pounds of heroin, and more than $73,000 in cash, according to officials.

The Merced County drug trafficking operation investigation was done by the Merced Area Gang and Narcotic Enforcement Team (MAGNET). They began investigating in January.

The Huntington Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department also assisted MAGNET in the investigation.

Romero Jr. was identified as a suspect in January which led authorities to learn that he had a house in Huntington Beach.

Romero Jr. was arrested during the search.
