Dinosaurs are coming to Denver this week at National Western Complex.

The display of realistic animatronic dinosaurs called 'Jurassic Empire' opens Friday, May 7 in Denver.

Families can experience the impressive life-size creatures safely from their car.

According to their website, the attraction's mission, "is to educate children and adults alike about the amazing prehistoric creatures of our planet. We strive to make learning about dinosaurs as fun and interactive as possible. We have a team of over 30 dedicated and passionate people that we have hand-picked from all over to bring the world of dinosaurs alive. Our team arrives at each new city and has a part to do with everything from creating scenes and decorating each era as it were millions of years ago, to helping put a smile on your child’s face."

The drive-thru exhibit features 60 giant dinosaurs including Velociraptors, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the Pterodactyl.

The attraction is also educational, showing dinosaurs in their natural environment and explaining what scientists believe led to their mass extinction.

Jurassic Empire is open weekdays and weekends for 2-hour time slot increments through May 31. The drive-thru experience takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on how many cars show up.
