Georgia Will Always Be Home To Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan has called Nashville home for 20 years now, but the country superstar often thinks of Leesburg, the small Georgia town where he grew up. He still owns a home there, after all, and has a large circle of family and friends in the area.

The quiet community, just less than 3,000 strong, sits about 15 minutes north of Albany in the southeast corner of the state, and on the heels of his album 'Born Here Live Here Die Here,' Luke recently explained to Cody Alan why he remains so connected to it.

"I would assume that the Tennessee/Nashville area is forever, but I've got a farm down there, and my nieces and my dad and his wife are still down there," Luke says.

The 2021 ACM Entertainer of the Year has business ties to the area, too. "I've got a small business that me and one of my best friends operate," Luke adds, referring to the concrete firm that's been a community staple for more than 40 years. "So I get down there quite a bit."

Luke doesn't get to stay at his Leesburg home as often as he'd like, but suspects that might change in the coming years. "Your children kind of keep you at home," he says, noting it's an important part of their roots as well. "As they grow older and go off to college, we may meet at our place down there to hunt and things like that. So I may start getting down there more than normal."

Home will always be home, Luke admits, and staying connected will always be important. "When I'm there, it's really special and feels good," he continues. "I love every chance I get to go to Leesburg."
