The Florida teenager accused of slaying a 13-year-old cheerleader was ordered held without bond Tuesday (June 1), according to NBC Miami.
Reporters said 14-year-old Aiden Fucci is now being charged as an adult in the death of Tristyn Bailey, who was last seen near a community center in St. Johns County last month. Sheriff Robert Hardwick said the girl was found dead near a pond hours after she was reported missing.
Fucci, who faces a first-degree murder charge, made headlines over a disturbing Snapchat selfie he took in the back of a squad car. "Hey guys has anybody [sic] seen Tristyn lately," the caption read over the image.
This Snapchat selfie appears to show Aiden Fucci,14, in the back of a deputy’s car as they were searching for Tristyn Bailey, 13.

State Attorney R.J. Larizza said Thursday (May 27) that charging Fucci as an adult was the only choice his office could make. An autopsy also revealed that Bailey was stabbed at least 114 times. "At least 49 of those stab wounds were to the hands, arms, and the head," the state attorney described.
Bailey and Fucci both attended Patriot Oaks Academy and grew up in the same neighborhood, reporters added.
Hardwick said the investigation is ongoing, and authorities haven't revealed other details, including the motive of the murder and Bailey's cause of death.
