These California Counties Have the Best Tasting Tap Water In the World

Judges of an "international water tasting" have determined the best tasting water from across the world, reports FOX5.
The Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting held in Berkeley Springs is called "the Olympics of water" by its "perennial watermaster" Arthur von Wiesenberger.
Nine judges from different local and national media outlets were chosen to rate waters based on appears, aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste.
After an hours-long judging process, results were announced on Saturday, June 5. The Best Municipal Water in the world was awarded to the municipality of Rossarden in Tasmania, Australia.
The Best Municipal Water in America was awarded to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, followed by:
- Santa Ana, California
- Southwest Water Authority, Dickinson, North Dakota
- Fort Wayne, Indiana
More California cities were featured in different categories as well.
The Best Purified Drink Water category went to:
- Ophora Hyper-Oxygenated Water, Santa Barbara, California
- Waterfy Me β Gaithersburg, Maryland
- Lesage Natural, Lesage, West Virginia
Mountain Valley Sparkling Spring Water from Hot Springs, Arizona, and Castle Rock Sparkling Glacial Water from Shasta Springs, California tied for fifth place in Best Sparkling Waters.
βIt was another wonderful year for the longest-running and largest water tasting in the world,β said von Wiesenberger in a press release.
