Iggy Azalea has shared her insight as to why some collaborators, including herself, haven't shared their behind-the-scenes details about Britney Spears' team.
On Friday (June 25), the rapper, who worked with Spears on 2015's "Pretty Girls," took to Twitter to offer her take. "Right, I said her team wouldn’t let her do promo and that they went through my house, etc and y’all said I was a hater Woman shrugging," the rapper said in response to a viral tweet about Spears' collaborators remaining silent amid the #FreeBritney movement.
"I am actually here to support someone in a way that’s helpful and also mindful," she continued. "Britney has said in her own words, she’s embarrassed to even share this with the world. If she needed me to speak on her behalf, That message has been delivered to her. Other than that – I’m good. I've done what I’m supposed to do, I’ve reached out. I’m not supposed to be mindlessly telling you all whatever was happening because half of these people are just here for entertainment not to help. I actually care & she can use me if she needs my voice. Leave me alone PLEASE."
In Spears' bombshell court hearing, the singer admitted that she almost no control over her life, accusing her family of negligence to her health. She also went on to confess that she has been forced into work, "abused” by a previous therapist and that the control extends to her body as she is prohibited from removing an IUD. "I haven’t done anything in the world to deserve this treatment. It’s not OK to force me to do anything I don’t want to do," she declared in her 24-minute address.
