Hot Dog on a Stick will be rolling through San Diego County soon.

The mall food court staple started their food truck in the greater Los Angeles area back in May of 2019.

Next week, San Diego will get to experience the nostalgia with the mobile food truck.

On April 24th, 2021, Hot Dog on a Stick celebrated its 75th anniversary. The company was founded back in 1946 by Dave Barham.

Although the mall branch of the company was sold in 2014, his son Gary, granddaughter Courtney, and their family still oversee Hot Dog on a Stick at fairs, festivals, and events around the region.

Courtney told Eater the idea for the food truck started during the pandemic when large events were put on pause.

In order to reach and service more of the San Diego community, the truck will start operating in North County neighborhoods.

The Hot Dog on a Stick truck will make stops at local breweries and American Legion halls.

The truck will make its debut at the American Legion Post 416 on July 22nd for Thirsty Thursday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

The truck will announce the rest of its stops and other updates on its social media pages.
