You don't really expect much while brushing your teeth. One South Florida man had a morning he'll never forget.
Last month, a Hollywood homeowner was doing his daily morning routine until he spotted something unusual in his toilet: a spiny-tailed iguana, according to WKMG. Kurt Hilberth said he tried several times to free the reptile from the toilet bowl, but the "aggressive" iguana would sink lower into the toilet bowl.
"Nope, don't like that," one of WKMG's anchors reacted to the video.
Reporters said the creature stayed inside the toilet for a few days before Hilberth called a professional trapper to his home. The trapper reportedly put a stick inside the bowl, allowing the iguana to climb out.
"Experts say the reptile likely got into the bathroom through a sewage vent stack on the roof of Hilberth’s home," reporters wrote.
It's unclear what kind of iguana it was, but green iguanas are among the many invasive species living in the Sunshine State.
