Woman Drives Off Cliff In California After Being Startled By Stranger

A woman drove off a cliff in Santa Cruz after a stranger spooked her by mistakenly opening her door.
According to KRON, the woman was sitting in her parked car in the Santa Cruz Walton Lighthouse parking lot. Police who responded to the incident said the woman was spooked when the stranger opened her door and caused her to drive off the cliff.
The Santa Cruz Police Department shared a photo of a towtruck recovering the woman's car. According to SCPD, the woman had no major injuries but did suffer an injury to her foot. No other people were injured in the accident.
"This incident was truly an accident. The person who opened the door thought they were entering the passenger seat to their car which was a similar model and color," SCPD The cars were parked next to each other. It was dark and the individual does not see well at night."
