Chase Claypool's Injury Revealed: Report

Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver Chase Claypool is reported to have experienced a "minor" injury during Tuesday's (August 17) practice.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Claypool suffered a "minor ankle sprain" after an awkward landing late in Tuesday's practice.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor initially reported the second-year wide receiver "went down at the end of practice" with what appears to be a lower body injury, though his injury status was not confirmed at the time.

NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo reports Claypool "did not suffer a significant injury," according to sources.

Claypool, 23, was selected by the Steelers in the second-round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
The former Notre Dame standout enjoyed a stellar rookie campaign with the Steelers in 2020, recording 62 receptions for 873 yards and nine touchdowns, as well as two rushing touchdowns, earning a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America's All-Rookie Team.
The Steelers will host the Detroit Lions during a preseason matchup at Heinz Field on Saturday (August 21).
