The Pittsburgh Steelers announced several roster moves ahead of their final preseason game.

The Steelers have released linebacker Calvin Bundage, offensive lineman Aviante Collins, running back Pete Guerriero and wide receiver Tyler Simmons, while also placing safety Antoine Brooks Jr. on the waived/injury list, according to a news release shared on their official website Tuesday (August 24) afternoon.

Pittsburgh has now met the mandatory requirements of limiting its roster to 80 players ahead of its final preseason game and will need to cut down its roster to 53 players by Tuesday, August 31.

The Steelers will face the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Friday (August 27) night in what head coach Mike Tomlin referred to as a "big game" for players facing their last opportunity to make the final roster cut.

"It's a big game for a lot of people," Tomlin said. "It's the culmination of a lot of work and guys getting an opportunity to make a last case for themselves in terms of whether or not they're here and within that, the division of labor within the 53. We recognize the process is what it is. We realize the sand is running through the hourglass. There's a lot of respect for that and a lot of attention to detail and urgency as we move forward with these days."

The Steelers will face the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in their regular season opener on Sunday, September 12.
