When Trace Adkins spoke about Academy of Country Music Honoree Toby Keith, he recalled performing with the “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” singer.
Adkins was invited to sing “Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American)” with Keith, and it was the “most energetic audience,” he recalled. “It was like static electricity in the air,” Adkins said. “I’ll always be grateful to him for sharing that with me...So tonight, let’s celebrate unique and many talents of Mr. Toby Keith.”
Keith was the recipient of the ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award at the 14th Annual ACM Honors at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Wednesday evening (August 25).
The “Old School” country artist is also slated to perform at the iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One. The show will be held this October in Austin, Texas. Fellow country artists Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Carly Pearce and others are also included in the star-studded lineup for the event hosted by Bobby Bones.
Fans can tune in to watch the star-studded iHeartCountry Festival live on October 30th via an exclusive livestream on LiveXLive.com or the LiveXLive app. iHeartMedia's Country music radio stations will also broadcast the event live, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app.
