Ashley McBryde, in the middle of her This Town Talks Tour, stopped by Nashville to perform three shows at the Mother Church of Country Music.
On Thursday (August 26), during her first night on her three-night venture, McBryde surprised fans at the sold-out Ryman Auditorium when she brought out country superstar Eric Church to join her on stage, per CMT. The duo then treated the audience to a performance of the 1970 hit "Midnight Rider" by The Allman Brothers Band.
While it was the only song the two stars sang together, fans loved it, with several capturing the unexpected collaboration on video, which can be seen here.
Night 1 of headlining @theryman was magical. I'm living a dream.

The "One Night Standards" singer has kept herself busy over the last year and a half. During a recent interview with CMT, McBryde said she penned several songs, essentially three albums worth, at the beginning of the pandemic.
"We all sat in a house in the woods, we all got tested and quarantined, and wrote this entire project," she said. She added, however, "That isn't even close to coming out. Then there are all these other songs where I collaborated with other artists, and those songs are starting to swirl around. Then, we started our record three, just last Monday."
