Zac Brown Band Announces Release Date Of New Album 'The Comeback'

Zac Brown Band is making a comeback.

The eight-member country band will release their highly-anticipated next album, The Comeback, is slated to release this fall. The new LP will mark the band’s latest record since The Owl released in 2019. Fans have already heard a taste of the award-winning band’s new music with the “unifying lead single, ‘Same Boat,’” which has raked in more than 30 million streams worldwide as of the album announcement on Friday (August 27), according to a press release.

“The Comeback celebrates our collective resilience as a community,” frontman Zac Brown said in a statement. “This music is about standing together and rediscovering our roots and what makes us human. We feel incredibly blessed to be back out on the road again, sharing these new songs with our fans. The only good thing about getting knocked down is The Comeback when it comes back around.”

“Slow Burn” will be the next track to follow “Same Boat,” which Brown — who holds a co-writing credit on every song on the new album — explained “is definitely about that first, young love…There are very specific memories that are tied to being in love for the first time. ‘Slow Burn’ captures the feeling of going back to places where the details of all those experiences that helped shape you come rushing back.”

Zac Brown Band also kicked off “The Comeback” Tour this month, playing shows through October.
