Judges named the must-try treats at this year's State Fair of Texas over the weekend.

A panel of judges whittled down 43 entries for this year's Big Tex Choice Awards down to two big winners.

For the "Best Taste - Sweet" award, the winner was The Armadillo.

According to the state fair site, The Armadillo is "is a made-from-scratch cookie butter semifreddo – an Italian take on ice cream that means semi-frozen. The treat is drizzled with cookie butter and sandwiched between two deep fried Armadillo-shaped cookies that are made with a branding iron. Finally, it is dusted with buttery sugar."

This unique shaped treat won because "everybody loves an ice cream sandwich," creator James Barrera told NBC DFW.

While three Big Tex Choice Awards are handed out every year, one dish took home two honors.

The Deep Fried Seafood Gumbo Balls was named the "The Most Creative" and "Best Taste - Savory."

For one of the judges, it was love at first bite, according to the Dallas Morning News.

“My God. There is a pocket of shrimp, sausage, chicken — and it’s almost like they made cornbread dressing, tossed it all together, made a ball, deep fried that bad boy, stuffed me a side with crab legs hanging out, [gave me] the smallest, cute bottle of Tabasco. And they deep-fried me a piece of okra," she said.
