People are known to do crazy things when they get fired from a job, and one Florida woman allegedly took it to the next level.

WFTV says 41-year-old Medghyne Calonge is facing charges after she allegedly deleted thousands of company records from her employer's computer system following her termination.

Calonge was fired from her position as head of human resources from a Manhattan-based company in St. Petersburg. She reportedly failed to meet the minimum requirements for her role. They even accused her of downgrading an employee's access to a computer system following an argument.

After Calonge was fired, two employees claim they saw her repeatedly hitting the delete key on her computer. She allegedly "rampaged" the system for two days, deleting 17,000 job applications and resumes. Calonge even left profane messages written in the system, according to prosecutors.

They also said the company spent two years and $100,000 creating the computer system Calonge wiped. Another $100,00 was spent investigating the incident and rebuilding the system. Prosecutors say the company never fully recovered the data.

“Her actions wiped out information vitally important to the employer company, and cost the company money and time to repair,” U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement. “Now Calonge awaits sentencing for her crimes.”
