2 Wisconsin Cities Rank Among The Best Cities To Drive In

Driving in major cities can be a hassle with the amount of traffic accumulated daily, but some major cities are better to drive in than others.

WalletHub, a personal finance site, compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities to determine which were the most driver-friendly. Americans spend plenty of time commuting, so road quality and the cost of cars was a big component of the report.

"While driving offers a more isolated commute, it is often a major hassle and expense. Drivers annually spend an average of more than 310 hours on the road. That's nearly 13 days. Add the costs of wasted time and fuel due to traffic congestions, and our collective tab comes to about $1,400 per driver each year."

To find which cities were the best for drivers, WalletHub looked at four key indicators: cost of vehicle ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety and access to vehicles and maintenance.
