A Minneapolis native will be a contestant on Wheel Of Fortune's "Teacher Week," where she will take a spin on solving puzzles to win once-in-a-lifetime vacations and cash prizes this upcoming Monday (September 13).

Allison Winter is originally from Minneapolis but now resides in Southern California, where she is a kindergarten teacher at the Mirman School.

Outside of teaching, Allison enjoys running, hiking, leading fitness classes, and of course, watching Wheel Of Fortune. She and her mom enjoy watching and playing America's game; they even found a fun way to play during quarantine.

"My mom and I were separated from the basement and first floor, and we would yell the answers to each other," Allison said.

Allison's hope to be on the show began a couple of years back when she went to a Wheelmobile event in Hinckley, Minnesota. Unfortunately, she was not picked as a contestant then, but her luck changed a couple of years later when she submitted a video application and was invited to participate in a virtual audition.

When she found out that she would be a contestant, she said she was "ecstatic" and hoped to come home with enough money to buy a home.

Watch Wheel of Fortune locally on WCCO at 6:30 p.m. Monday (September 13) to cheer on the Minnesota native.

To be a contestant on the show, you can apply on the Wheel of Fortune website.
