There's Sooners fans, and then there's Owen Pickard.
The Oklahoma dad is so obsessed with University of Oklahoma football that he built his very own Owen Field behind his family's home in Blanchard.
“This was a neat way to be a Sooner fan and have fun with the family at the same time," he told KOKH.
Pickard's field is 1/10th of the size of the one in Norman, but it looks like the real thing.

He started his field in 2019. It's been a family affair since day one because Pickard had to get his wife Kelcie's approval for the project.
“I had to beg. I had to really beg to be able to do something ridiculous like this,” he told KFOR in 2019.
His grandad made the stencils for the field while his nieces and nephews like to come over and play on the well-manicured grass.
Pickard considered naming his creation Owen Field since it's also his first name, but he decided against it because he didn't want to seem self-absorbed or run into copyright issues.
Instead the field was christened Giddy Field after his young son Gideon.

Since 2019, Pickard has continued to upkeep the field and even added seats that are from OU's stadium. He chronicles his hard work on the Twitter account @GiddyField.

All Giddy Field needs now are goal posts.
"I’m still trying to get the HOA to approve goal post. They’re resistant to that," he said.
