Sam Asghari Included A Sweet Detail On Britney Spears' Engagement Ring

Britney Spears is officially a bride-to-be.

On Sunday (September 12), the pop titan announced that Sam Asghari, her boyfriend of five years, had proposed to her with a ring designed by Roman Malayev from Forever Diamonds NY. However, the ring comes with a touching detail as it was designed to include an engraving with the word "Lioness" on the inside of the band, Asghari's longtime nickname for Spears.

"Every designer I spoke with about the ring was amazing with great ideas, but I just clicked with Roman. We really connected on the design and he was as excited as I was to make it special," Asghari said in a statement of the 4-carat ring. "That’s why I chose him."

"I can't f*cking believe it," the entertainer wrote in her caption for the post. Meanwhile, Asghari's announcement on his account featured a different kind of approach as Spears offered the camera the ring in a flipping off the bird sort of way. It's likely a reference to her 13-year conservatorship, which reportedly prohibits her from legally getting married without the permission of her father, Jamie Spears. He recently filed a petition to end the conservatorship.
