Ticket Holders Get Frustrated As Seattle Van Gogh Event Still Has No Venue

Ticketholders are looking forward to an upcoming Vincent Van Gogh art event in Seattle, but they're also growing more impatient with event organizers, The Seattle Times reports.
"Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" was scheduled to open in September 2021, according to its website, but organizers have not disclosed the "secret venue" promised to ticket buyers. Reporters learned that the location would be revealed closer to the show date.
“As the time got closer and closer, they still hadn’t revealed where this was going to take place,” Katie Wagner, a Spokane resident, told the Times. She bought a $41 ticket back in March for the experience, but she's been making phone calls and emails to find out where this Van Gogh event is happening. She even reached out to Fever Up, the ticketing company she bought her tickets from, about the missing details.
“They said that’s part of the thrill of this whole thing; it’s a secret place,” Wagner recalled. Her ticket date is set for September 22, and the venue still hasn't been released.

A representative reportedly told Wagner that the show was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Washington state policies. She questioned why she was never contacted about the delay.
The Spokane woman is not the only one with issues. She and other ticketholders have filed complaints about the event to various agencies, including the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Washington Attorney General Consumer Protection.
The BBB also warned consumers back in March about the show, claiming there were ticketing issues and confusion with another show coming to Tacoma this December: "Imagine Van Gogh: The Immersive Exhibition."
Fever Up issued a statement to the Times about the inquiries:
“As our team works to finalize the installation, we have encountered delays in shipment arrivals for the Seattle experience, due to the impact of COVID-19 on global transportation logistics. Despite our best efforts to keep in time with the scheduled opening, we are required to delay the opening date of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience by a few days, which has already been notified to affected users.”
