'Sandwich Bandit' Wanted After Robbing Oklahoma Homes, Raiding Fridges

Oklahoma authorities are looking for a serial burglar whose MO is raiding his victims' refrigerators.

Andrew Earls has been identified as the "sandwich bandit" and is accused of robbing 30 homes in Woodward County and five homes in Cleveland County.

“I think he’s in survival mode, I really do. We very quickly realized we didn’t have a normal one-time theft," Woodward County Sheriff Kevin Mitchell told KFOR.

The search for Earls started near Sharon, Oklahoma, on September 16 after he allegedly trashed multiple homes in the area and stole guns and vehicles.

“They said that is his signature trademark. He goes in and trashes houses. He had cut my outside cameras and then he went into my bedroom and, where the receiver was, he cut every single cord," said Alisha Shrout, whose Woodward County home was broken into.

Earls is accused of taking two handguns, a shot gun, Shrout's jewelry, and a few cans of soup from her home. He also took a shower and microwaved himself a frozen breakfast bowl during the robbery.

“He typically finds homes that are unoccupied. He will go in and eat and drink their alcohol and just kind of hang out,” Mendi Brandon with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office told News On 6.

Authorities believe Earls is hiding out in the woods near Norman and Noble. Earls is a white, 27-year-old male who is about 6-feet tall, with brown hair, and has multiple tattoos on his arms and chest.

Authorities say he is likely armed. Anyone who has seen Earls is asked to call 911.
