Scotty McCreery took to Instagram to celebrate his wife, Gabi McCreery, and his track "You Time" reaching No. 1 on country radio. His heartfelt post celebrated his and Gabi's two-and-a-half years of marriage, and the silver-lining of the pandemic in that the couple has been able to spend more time together than expected.

"2.5 years ago our lives were as busy as ever," McCreery said in his Instagram post. "I was on the road, and you were working at the hospital. For a couple that had just been married, it seemed like we never got to see each other."

McCreery went on to explain that he penned the track "You Time" for his wife, asking the universe to slow down in order for the newly wedded couple to spend more time together. "I really didn't mean for the universe to take that song so literally," McCreery joked about the subsequent pandemic that prevented him (and the rest of the music industry) from being able to continue touring.

"But through this last year and a half, as awful as the circumstances have been, one of the silver linings has been being able to actually spend every day together so young in our marriage," McCreery continued. "I never thought we would get that time until we were both retired. I'm sure there were days you were more than ready for me to get back on the road, but I can truly say I loved all that time we got together. We grew so much and learned what teamwork is really all about."

"You Time" becomes McCreery's fourth No. 1 single, and he went on to thank country radio for the achievement. Gabi McCreery also celebrated the track reaching No. 1 by posting a video of McCreery smiling while riding in a boat. "That #1 feeling," she said. "So dang proud of my hubby for his 4th #1 song in a row. Thankful for this season of you time and getting to do life with you."

McCreery also penned the No. 1 hit "In Between," which detailed what he and his wife Gabi had been up to in the midst of the pandemic. "We have never had this much time to spend together," he had said at the time. "When we first started dating back in 2011, I told her 'I live a different life than most. You're probably not going to get to see me everyday like most couples do. Yet, here we are every single day."

McCreery's previous No. 1 hits include "In Between," "Five More Minutes," and "This Is It." Stream "You Time," as well as the country singer's other hit singles, via iHeartRadio here.
