Harry Styles Just Confirmed What ‘Watermelon Sugar’ Actually Means And I...

There have been rumours swirling about over the last two years over what exactly Harry Styles meant when he sang Watermelon Sugar.

If you’ve somehow never heard the song, the lyrics are literally dripping with what could easily be innuendo. Although to be fair, it could just as easily be a song about eating melon in summer…

Although that whole “It’s a song about eating fruit” argument begins to slips when you actually pay attention to some of the lyrics. Like the song’s second verse: “I want your belly, and that summer feelin’, getting washed away in you”.

What’s all that about?

Well, fans at a recent Nashville concert were given an explanation from Harry himself before he launched into the hit.

“This song is about…. It doesn’t really matter what it’s about. It’s about, uh, the sweetness of life,” the former One Direction singer began to explain, toeing the family-friendly line that he had been pushing for the past two years.

But then Harry added: “It’s also about the female orgasm, but that’s totally different. It’s not really relevant.”
