A new survey found the average price to bake a batch of cookies varies depending on what city you live in.

To determine the price of cookies during the holiday season, Hello Fresh "collected the prices of the essential ingredients of the nation’s favorite holiday treat, including the cost of flour, eggs, butter, sugar, and baking powder in each location in the study."

The Hello Fresh team also calculated how much the overall Christmas cookies batch price deviates from the median price. Their study included prices for major cities across the U.S.

Their research found that the most expensive place to bake cookies in the U.S. is San Diego.

While the average price for a batch of cookies is $6.10, San Diego's average price is a whopping $12.40.

Beyond the U.S., Hello Fresh also found that the most expensive country to bake cookies in is Sweden. Even then, their average price, $12.38 is not too far away from San Diego's average price.
