Maren Morris To Drop New Song From 'Humble Quest' Before Album Release

After revealing a snippet of an unreleased song on TikTok, Maren Morris finally announced when fans will get to hear the next track from her highly-anticipated new album. Morris shared on social media on Friday morning (February 4): “not everybody gets to leave a souvenir... the next song off Humble Quest ‘Background Music’ out next Friday, February 11th ⏳✨”
Morris shared part of the song on TikTok earlier this week, wondering “is a full chorus a leak?,” when she captioned her post. “Background Music” will follow “Circles Around This Town,” the first single Morris debuted from her upcoming 11-track album, Humble Quest. “Circles Around This Town” is an autobiographical reflection at Morris’ early days in Nashville, taking a look back at the journey she’s taken in her career so far.
Humble Quest, which is due out next month, is the result of Morris’ determination to figure out her definition of the word “humble,” and ultimately reaching a point of sharing “the stories of my rises, my overshares, my appreciation of Midwestern guys who stand at least a foot taller than me, my lullabies, my wine-soaked conversations with a dear friend and my final goodbye to one.” The album is set to release on March 25.
