Rare California Oceanfront Home Next Door To 'Yellowstone' Star Hits Market

A California home near the beach has landed on the market for $109 million. And while a California oceanfront home for a hefty price tag is nothing new, this listing is gaining attention for being next door to a star in the hit show Yellowstone.
According to Realtor.com, the home is in Carpinteria on an oceanfront horse ranch adjacent to actor Kevin Costner. The area is known as Rancho Cariñoso and comes with its own private beach on the 4.2-acre spread.
Sean Matthews with Compass and Eric Haskell with The Agency are co-listing the property and say oceanfront properties like this one are a rare occurrence on the market. There are only 33 listings available in Carpinteria and they have a median list price of $1.2 million.
"This incredibly special slice of coastline is unlike any other beachfront estate on the market today," Matthews told Realtor.com. "The estate has incredible sentimental value to my client, as he and his family have enjoyed the home for generations."
The seller is Arthur Cameron III, who is the grandson of Texas oil tycoon Arthur Cameron and actress Kay Aldridge. Costner purchased the nearby 10-acre property in 2006 for $28.5 million, according to Realtor.com.
