America has tons of weird and unusual dining experiences so LoveFood set out to find the most "out-of-the-ordinary" restaurants in every state. "From a restaurant where diners can watch mermaids swim while eating, to spots inside old train carriages, here's our pick of the best," wrote the website.

So where is California's most unusual dining experience? According to LoveFood, it's at Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar in San Francisco! Here's what the website had to say about the experience:

"This tiki-themed lounge and restaurant is located in the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, and first opened in 1945. With tropical plants and a huge central lagoon, you'll feel as if you've just travelled to Polynesia at the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar. There's even a stage for live music. People go for the unique experience, but the menu is pretty good too. Highlights include grilled miso salmon, Tonga grilled ribeye and coconut curry seafood."

You can find Tonga Room & Hurricane Club at 950 Mason St inside the Fairmont. It's open Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. and Friday/Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. All ages are welcome from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. but you must 21 or older from then on.
