Carly Pearce is undoubtedly a pro when it comes to her performances, including as she embarks on Kenny Chesney’s nationwide “Here And Now Tour.” Pearce, the reigning Academy of Country Music Female Artist of the Year, takes the stage with some of her biggest hits, including fan-favorites from her latest album, 29: Written In Stone.

But there’s one reason that Pearce makes her band nervous.

The “What He Didn’t Do” artist often fuels her love of shoes with stylish heels and boots; however, the self-described “klutz” has to take it slow when she walks down a set of stairs. Pearce reflected, in a statement shared by her record label:

“I can’t even explain to you. I wore heeled boots last weekend – and I start at the top of a staircase on my set – and every band member in my band knows what a klutz I am. And I have to walk down the stairs in my outfits and in my heels. And the looks on their face as I’m coming down. I’m like, ‘Y’all, I’m fine. I will not fall. I’m gonna be fine. Chill out.’ But, yeah, you gotta go a little slower.”

Luckily, Pearce has been OK in her shoes so far. She’s shared a few of the biggest highlights of the tour on her social media channels in recent months, including hilarious interactions with fans. She also marked a full-circle moment with her mom during the sold-out show at her hometown venue, sharing in an Instagram caption: “My beautiful mama helped to make every one of my dreams true.”
