A 42-year-old Seattle man was reported missing after a woman found his dog wandering on an empty road.

The last time people heard from Trevor Bresnahan, he took his dog Bear with him to visit his friends in the Wilbur area, his mother Brenda West-Bresnahan told FOX 13. She spoke with her son over the phone the following morning to confirm he made it to his friends' home, but that was the last time she would hear from Trevor.

A week goes by, and West-Bresnahan gets a phone call from a woman. This caller says she found Bear wandering on a remote road in Stevens County. When the worried mother picked up the dog from the good Samaritan, Bear was dehydrated and hungry, but unhurt.

Now, she needs to find her son.

"I'm very worried about you. I don't know if you are being held hostage in a building or if you are hurt. I don't know, but I just can't imagine you leaving your dog. I don't believe you would do that," West-Bresnahan says.

The Stevens County Sheriff's Office called Bresnahan's disappearance "suspicious" and noticed the car he left in Seattle is missing, too. His vehicle is a maroon, mid-2000s Hyundai Accent with a lime green hood and bumper. If you know anything about either Breshnahan or his vehicle's whereabouts, call the cops at 509-684-2555.
