A video shared online shows Carolina Panthers backup quarterback Baker Mayfield headbutting his helmeted teammates while helmetless.

The video, which was taken from the Amazon Prime broadcast of the Panthers' Thursday Night Football win against the Atlanta Falcons, shows Mayfield -- who didn't appear in the game -- ramming his skull into the helmets of several teammates as they walked off the field.

"That's a good way to wind up in concussion protocol even though you don't get into the game," Amazon Prime play-by-play man Al Michaels said during the clip.

The viral clip caught the attention of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe, who criticized the former starter for seeking attention and called Mayfield, "trash."

"This is the only way Baker Mayfield can garner attention, because he can't do it on the football field," Sharpe said during Friday's (November 11) episode of Undisputed. "Baker Mayfield is trash."

Mayfield, a former No 1 overall pick, has struggled during his fifth NFL season, which is his first with the Panthers since being acquired in a trade during the offseason.

The former Heisman Trophy winner went 1-4 while starting in Carolina's first five games and threw for 1,117 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions on 98 of 173 passing in six total appearances, which includes a 78.1 passer rating and a 16.8 quarterback rating.

Mayfield was ruled out for "at least a couple weeks" due to a high ankle sprain on October 10 and replaced by current starter PJ Walker, who threw for 108 yards on 10 of 16 passing during Thursday's win.

Mayfield replaced Walker late in last week's blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, throwing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 14 of 20 passing.
