A passenger made quite an oopsie on a flight out of South Florida, forcing the aircraft to turn around and head back to the airport, according to Simply Flying.

Flight 3152, a regularly scheduled service from Miami to Boston, departed Monday (November 14) around 6 a.m. Everything was smooth sailing until a passenger reportedly spotted what they thought was smoke coming from the plane's air conditioning vents. That's when they suddenly shouted, "Fire!" and out of an abundance of caution, pilots quickly returned to Miami International Airport.

It turns out, however, that the "smoke" the passenger thought they saw was actually condensation coming from the AC, reporters said. Law enforcement was waiting for the plane when it returned to the airport. Crews checked out the aircraft and found no signs of fire, as well. The flight took off again around 7:45 a.m. and landed safely in Boston by 11 a.m.

Spirit Airlines addressed the situation in a statement to the news outlet:

"There were no mechanical issues on board flight 3152 from MIA to BOS. A Guest saw condensation from the air conditioning system and mistook it for smoke. The safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority.
"The Crew on board completed the necessary checklists to ensure there was no fire and returned to the airport out of an abundance of caution. Law enforcement and fire officials met and cleared the aircraft, which has since continued to Boston."
